FOYER

Privacy

Effective June 10, 2026 · Applies to the Foyer app and this website

The Foyer app collects no data. None.

The app

Foyer runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no servers of its own. It never phones home. All sounds are bundled with the app, so it works completely offline.

Your rooms and settings are stored locally on your Mac and never leave it.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, email, or payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.

This website

This site uses Umami to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It's self-hosted on our own server, so no ad network is in the loop. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites, and stores nothing that could identify you. That's also why there's no cookie banner to dismiss.

What it keeps is anonymous and lumped together: page views, where visitors came from, and rough guesses at country, browser, and device. The site itself is served by Cloudflare, which sees technical request data like IP addresses to deliver the page. That's separate from the analytics, and we don't store it.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. The app still collects nothing, so don't expect much movement.
